• •Academic Details: Branch/department, current semester, CGPA, backlogs, and university (VTU or otherwise).
• •Professional Profile: Skills, bio, project links, certifications, GitHub/LinkedIn URLs, and uploaded resume files.
• •Usage Data: Pages visited, searches performed, saved items, and applied opportunities — collected automatically to improve feed personalization.
• •Device Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers collected via cookies and browser local storage.

We process your data solely to deliver and improve Campustry services. Specifically, your information is used to:

• •Provide personalized job, internship, and scholarship recommendation feeds based on your branch and skills.
• •Send push notifications and email alerts about relevant opportunities and university circulars.
• •Allow recruiters to view your profile and verify your qualifications when you submit an application.
• •Maintain and improve platform security, prevent spam, and detect unauthorized access attempts.
• •Analyze aggregate, anonymized usage patterns to improve product features and search results.
• •Comply with applicable Indian laws and IT Act regulations regarding data retention and user authentication.

We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third-party advertisers or data brokers.

Your data is shared only in limited, specific circumstances:

• •Recruiters & Employers: When you apply to a listing, your resume and profile details are shared with the respective recruiter for review purposes.
• •Service Providers: We use trusted infrastructure providers such as Supabase (database), Cloudflare (security/CDN), and Vercel/Cloudflare Pages (hosting). These providers only process data under our instructions.
• •Legal Requirements: We may disclose your data when required by Indian courts, law enforcement, or regulatory bodies in compliance with applicable laws.
• •Business Transfers: If Campustry is involved in a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction, with advance notice given to users.

We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your data:

• •All data in transit is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 encryption.
• •Strict role-based access controls ensure that only authorized Campustry team members can access your data, on a need-to-know basis.
• •Cloudflare Turnstile CAPTCHA and automated threat detection protect the registration and login flows from bots and brute-force attacks.
• •Other students cannot view your private documents, applications, or contact details. Your profile visibility is controlled entirely by you.

While we take every reasonable measure to protect your data, no system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Please use a strong, unique password for your Campustry account.

By creating an account, you agree to receive platform notifications including job alert emails, weekly opportunity digests, and urgent VTU circular notifications. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by adjusting your notification preferences in the Dashboard settings. Critical account-related emails (e.g., password reset, account security) cannot be opted out of.

As a Campustry user, you have the following rights over your personal data:

• •Access: You may request a copy of all personal data we hold about you at any time.
• •Correction: You may update your personal details, academic information, and resume through the Student Profile page at any time.
• •Deletion: You may request permanent account and data deletion by emailing us. We will complete the deletion within 30 days, except where data retention is required by law.
• •Portability: You may request a structured export of your profile data in JSON format.

We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active, or as long as necessary to provide you with Campustry services. If you request account deletion, your personal data will be permanently erased within 30 days. Aggregate, anonymized analytics data that cannot identify you individually may be retained indefinitely for platform improvement purposes.
